Positive Affirmations to Improve your Mindset

Are you familiar with positive affirmations? We are naturally more negative and pessimistic than we are positive and optimistic, it’s our natural survival mechanism to always be on the lookout for danger. If we want to develop a more positive outlook, and see more good & opportunity in our life we need to train our brain. One of the ways we can do this is with positive affirmations.

We all have limiting beliefs, these are beliefs about life and the world that we learned as children, we are often not even aware of these beliefs. These limiting beliefs can be, well, limiting! For example, if you believe that you have to work hard to get ahead in life, it may feel like you’re always paddling upstream trying to keep up and you’re not spending much time enjoying life. What you want in life can be very different from what you believe you deserve, or what you believe is possible. I like to use affirmations to help breakthrough my limiting beliefs, build self-confidence and open my mind to new possibilities. Remember, our subconscious mind can’t tell the difference between what’s real and what’s imagined, every thought you think will be accepted as the truth. This can work against us with negative thoughts, but it can also work for us with positive thoughts. I wholeheartedly believe a healthy body, and a happy life start with a healthy mind.

Today I am sharing some positive affirmations to get you started, try them out and see what resonates with you- pay attention to any resistance or discomfort that may arise that is most likely an indication of limiting beliefs at play.

1.) I am the architect & designer of my life.

2.) I am energized and overflowing with joy.

3.) I forgive those who have harmed me and I live everyday with loving kindness.

4.) I am overflowing with creative energy; the possibilities for creation are endless.

5.) I am doing the best I can and growing every day, I create my own happiness.

6.) I am strong, my ability to conquer any challenge that comes my way is limitless and my potential to succeed is infinite.

7.) I am surrounded with loving and supportive friends and family every day.

8.) Everything that is happening in my life is happening for my ultimate good, even if I can’t see that yet.

9.) I am experiencing difficult times but this is only a short phase of my life, this too shall pass.

10.) I am excited and optimistic for what today may bring.

11.) I am at peace with all that has happened, is happening, and will happen for me in my life.
